First steps
After the application starts, the user is asked for a login and a password.
In the demonstration mode, the following account is active:
Login: demo
Password: demo
By default, this login is entered in the login field when the programme is started for the first time. Click on the OK button, and the application main window will be displayed.
In the demonstration mode, the user can view click statistics for the following websites:
- http://www.ranking.pl/, http://www.rankingcee.com/ - website traffic statistics services offered by Gemius SA;
-
http://www.fotopolis.pl/ - a photography portal;
- http://www.wosp.org.pl/ - website of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
In order to access statistics relating to the above websites, enter one of the web addresses in the Location field, and press the [Enter] key on your keyboard. The application will download for viewing the web page identified by the URL, and retrieve information on the number of clicks a given web page has received.
Only those data will be displayed to which a given user has access (login).
Intensity of red colour indicates relative popularity of a given hyperlink (the number of clicks).
By default, the application shows current day click statistics; this can be changed by clicking the drop-down list box found in the upper right-hand corner of the window. You can move around in the web page on the left in a usual manner (i.e. by clicking links). Every time you move to a new sub-page, the application will retrieve information on the number of clicks to this sub-page, and will display them in the Statistics and Ranking window, with the relevant links being highlighted.
